About the work

Primary Needs, found his way through this photograph of a man carrying as many rolls of toilet paper as he could. It made me think about the rush on toilet paper in the first quarantine during the Covid pandemic. Also, hygiëne being one of the major challenges in problem regions due to war or lack of sanitary facilities. One of the major reasons humanity overcame viral and bacterial infections is better hygiene, infrastructure and awareness. So in search for the essential in my work, this man definitely has his place. :-) The painting is currently part of the international Artemida Art Week exhibition in the Cultural Centre of Milan, Italy.
